I taught Mah Jongg in Essex County, New Jersey for many years prior to moving to Florida two years ago. Since I have moved I started the Mah Jongg club in my community and have taught many residents (men play to), and I have been teaching at several of the local Country Clubs from Boca Raton to Palm Beach. I have travelled for the past 12 years to tournaments all over the Country and continue to teach all levels of play from the basic fundamentals of Mah Jongg including the necessary skills to play, various strategies, the history of Mah Jongg, understanding the card and the terminology including the Charleston as well as picking a hand and later converting it as your tiles change. I highly recommend through my teaching experiences to ideally have a group of 4 people and have 4 sessions each session being 2 hours. Lessons can be arranged during the day or in the evenings including weekends. For any player interested in a higher or more competitive level of play I am also available for advanced sessions.
